Yes, the chainsaw is available in the shareware version (I have v1.1). You
have to make sure you thoroughly explore! Hit space to see which
level it's on.

Level 2 (episode 1). Hit space for a hint on how to find it (spoiler).

There's a secret door in the leftmost wall of the maze (in the overhead map).
Hit space for how to find and open this door (spoilers).

When you walk into it and hit space, you won't make an "umph" sound. This
door is opened by firing a weapon into it.

Enjoy, and find some fresh meat!

I posted a .lmp file here yesterday in case you missed it. E-mail me for it
if you're interested, I am leery about posting here again because several
people flamed me for not compressing the thing even though I said it was
my first time posting something like this (assholes don't appreciate people's
efforts anymore).

Anyways anybody interested please e-mai me.

BTW the .lmp shows how to get a backpack, chaingun, and the chainsaw in level
2 of the shareware version.
