I know this may be a bit early to talk about Hell on Earth, but I just wanted to ask. Will it be possible to tilt your head to look down? I mean, in Doom I could have used that to look at what was downstairs from me, rather than just run down and find out the hard way. Just a thought. R.Y. These let you do this, and it is really remarkable (and useful!). However, it really complicates the engine. The lighting effects in the DOOM engine really make up for this and add a whole new level of realism to the game. > R.Y. I agree that the engine would be more complicated if you could tilt your head up or down, but what about if, say, you had the options of three preset angles (one looking up at 30 degrees, one straight ahead and one looking down at 30 degrees). After the initial change of viewpoint, would there really be that much more for the engine to handle? I mean, I don't know how id did the engine, but it would seem that the calculations would be the same - the coordinates would be skewd. Hmmm... Something to ponder while we wait, I guess. R.Y.
