Is anyone running DOOM on a 386DX25? I cannot get it to work on mine. With OS/2, it told me that there was some kind of access error involving the 386 chip, but i don't really know exactly what all it said. When I try to run it, I get some kind of register dump that I can't make any sense of. Any ideas? mike MED...@ZEUS.TAMU.EDU Now that I am back at school, I can keep up with this group, so either post or email. Thanks!

I onbly have 2 megs at home with same processor, boo hoo..... -- / Trevor Bradley (tbra...@sfu.ca) | "My God, our lives are in the \ | Simon Fraser University | hands of engineers" -- Malcom | \ Burnaby, BC, CANADA | (Jurassic Park, The Movie) /

H i have a 386dx25 with 5 meg of ram and doom works just fine, although it is almost painfully slow unless i shrink the screen way down. i prefer to play it on my friend's 486dx266. :) it is much cooler. anyway, does your error occur like halfway through the startup screen? does it say: <something about initializing something>..... and then it suddenly stops and says something about an unexpected interrupt? this used to happen to me. all i could do was try running it again until it worked. even booting without loading anything into memory wouldn't work. v. 1.1 has not given my this error, though. i think it has something to do with memory, though. try just running it over and over a few times. maybe it'll work. or so a completely clean boot. no autoexec or config or anything. it needs like exactly 4 meg or something. i've got a friend with a 486dx33 with exactly 4 meg and he has to load from a boot disk. mine works without a boot disk. hope this gives you some leads.
