Well, me and my buddies lost our netDOOM access and we're considering
just buying our own (yes... its that much fun, and we're that lame).
Anyway, just how cheap can you set up a network? I have heard that
it can be done for about $80/person. Any truth to this? Any replies
greatly appreciated.

Scott

You can get cheap NE2100 16-bit ISA Bus-mastering cards with IPX drivers
from CSC at 408-734-3475. Thier $49 a piece, and even cheaper in quanities.

Don't feel bad about being lame, I ran around work here for 2 days
trying to get IPX drivers for my cards. Talk about lame, but what the hell
I'm having fun!!!!

You don't even need a full-blown network. All that my roomate and I
are using are two Western Digital 16 cards with the Novell IPX protocol
loaded. In other words all that you need are a couple of network
cards and the IPX for those cards.

The best place to find cards for competitive prices is in Computer
Shopper. Just make sure that the cards you buy support IPX.
