I'm having a great time with the shareware version, but there is a small problem with the mouse. It does not run. I do a clean boot with the left shift key, load the mouse driver, doomstartup with the mouse, and then NO MOUSE. I want my mouse back. I'm tired of accidentally blasting the wall when I strafe, or strafing when I intend on blasting the inviso-beast. (yes the whining has ended). How do I fix the problem? This may sound stupid but hey I'm just trying to help...
DOOM seems to be much stickier about its setup that many other games I've seen.
Double check that setup configures DOOM for a mouse.
Sounds stupid but most games pick up the mouse and automatically use it. DOOM
doesn't. I had this problem for awhile too and decided to check the config
and now it works!
Hope this helps.
