Use the pressure switch to lower the elevator at the far side of the room, ride it up, and carefully jump counterclockwise around the pillars. You have to get a running start, and stop on each one. I recommend using the map zoomed up to position and line yourself up for the jumps. -- Scott Byer NeXTMail: by...@mv.us.adobe.com Adobe Systems Incorporated These are *my* opinions, and 1585 Charleston Road, P.O. Actually, it's called 'The Encheferizer'.

I was able to land on the chainsaw and that's it. I assume that you need
to jump to columns in order of descending height making the chainsaw
one of the last to hit.
As long as we're in the military base, the FAQ speaks of trap doors in
the acid pool with the red star (Imps keep appearing from it). The complete
map shows am additional room behind that area. Is this a red herring?
I couldn't figure out what to do. Two of the green acid areas between
the points of the star do not decrease my health when I stand in them.

If you use IDSPISPOPD to clip through the walls into that room you'll find
all the imps that are sent to the star. Waste them and look around. You'll
find one corner with notches cut in both walls that form that corner.
Step within the area "defined" by those notches (after turning clipping
off again) and _you'll_ be teleported to the center of the star.
The room is set up in such a way that the imps somehow know you're there
and instantly start walking towards you, and in their path is the
teleporter. Hence a seemingly unlimited supply of imps.
The room has no other purpose.
