This is the custom keyboard thing:

this is the doom3 cover http://tinyurl.com/4oap9
It's not a terrible idea having a custom keyboard configuration, but $50
for the board then another $20 for each new app. I need a keyboard that
automatically morphs itself, raising/lowering keys, moving them around,
depending on the application your running :-P
The keyboard I'm looking at, you can sort of roll it up and it looks
kind of indestructible, but I bet the keys just don't feel right, don't
have the proper rebound, have to go in the store and check it out. The
first computer keyboard I had, back in '79, was actually a touchpad
keyboard, I hated it.
Since I need a new one, I think I should at least get a USB model. I've
stuck with the basic >$10 PS/2 keyboards for the last several years, but
thought I'd try something different, I really like the idea of having a
scroll wheel on the keyboard.
