I, being a connectionally challenged person, agree and disagree with you
here. :-) Connection doesn't always matter more than skill but that
depends on the game being played. I used to play a lot of CS but found
that it got the point where connection became too important when
everyone else has cable. I just didn't see them the same time they saw
me onscreen thereby capping my sorry ass before I could react.
Now TFC I regularly play with 400ms ping and 15 fps but can grab flags
and kill because connection isn't as important as class selection and
map knowledge. If definitely helps to have a better connection but
livable without.
