And also to have graphics (UI) libs for every one of them? Windows are not perfect - far from it, but Windows are not just cute GUI, it has also dramaticly improved programming. I do NOT have to spend weeks to write UI, and drivers - or to try to connect my modules in ASM. And, Windows works if you know how to optimize it!!!
