I am going to celebrate a "retro gaming" LAN party in october this year. I want to play DooM I/II (DOS Version 1.9!) there. I've already set up a 10Base2 (Coax) LAN, with 3c509.com and pdipx.com, and got it running with Quake I. But with DooM 1 oder II both test computers broadcast something every second waiting for answer (The data reaches the other computer according to pktwatch.com), but never connect. The DooM FAQ (Version 6.666) describes the DooM 1.666 command line option -nodes, which has no effect. Does anybody know command line options for DooM 1.9, or can someone tell me how to get the old version? My first ideo was to set up a BBS-like multiplayer game server which then connects to each computer via a serial link. I found the server software here: http://www.jaegertech.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=17&Itemid=31 But I can't download it. An attempt to email the webmaster has failed too. Does anybody have the server software? For any help, thanks in advance, Ferdinand
