Doom 3 Crash

Anyone else having this problem, Doom 3 locks up (freezes) upon
entering the Main Entrance Hall on CPU level.
Have to hard restart computer. Anyone know of a fix for this problem?

Statistics:
Doom 3 v1.3 (Mac)
Mac Mini OS X v4.8
G4 1.5MHz
Radion 9200 Graphics
512 RAM
