Learn to run backwards and strafe.  Keep an obsticle between you and
the bad guys.  Pop out to take shots at the seekers with a lesser
weapon.  Change to the rocket launcher once the seekers are disabled
and the bad guy changes his "glow".   I seem to recall that you have
to complete three full cycles (possibly four) before the bad guy gives
up his ghost.
