Almost all the other copy protection stuff out there can be got around, Starforce is a hard nut to crack. So it's liable to become more popular. I had my first intro to Starforce with a really crappy game called Breed. Whenever you launched the game it would take a minute or more to verify that the CD was present, grrr. The game Breed itself sucked, so I uninstalled it (and left it sitting on a table in the laundry room of my apartment building), yet the Starforce driver was left behind. I went APE-FUCKING-SHIT. If I had a few more screws loose I might have turned into an anti-starforce version of SayNo2Steam. Luckily I know enough about deleting and uninstalling system drivers that I was able to purge my system, other people have to rely on downloading dubious starforce removal programs that I wouldn't touch. -- People of the United States!
