John Carmack, creator of DOOM3, has announced the
birth of his first child. A boy named Daemon, born
on Friday the 13th, 2004. "Beelzebub had such an
influence on all the DOOMs that it seemed only
fitting that we consecrate the child with a name
seeped in evil idolatry," said Carmack. Moreover
while the child was born in an ultra-modern hospital
Carmack insisted that the hospital's electrical power
be cut to 12% of optimal usage with the doctors'
only direct illumination provided by a single hand-
held flashlight. "It's scarier this way," explained
Carmack. "Besides then the sharp points on the
kid's head look more pixilation seams than little
devil horns." The Hospital's staff went along with
Carmack's weird 'in the dark' requests mostly because
he was so darn rich and the fact he was waving
a chaingun around at the time he checked his wife
into the facility.
