But in Doom3, I mapped Mouse2 to be 'sprint', >as I find myself needing that ability a whole lot more desperately than >'jump', all too often ;-) > -Marshall > > > > That just gave me an interesting thought, the main reason I switched to using mouse2 for jump was so I could bunny-hop in Quake3, and bunny-hopping is effectively a bizarre convoluted way of sprinting so maybe I might try switching those around for D3. I know what you mean about desperately sprinting, you never really need to jump in combat just for hopping over boxes when looking for ammo or health, It doesn't help much to avoid a tick or pinky attack to be jumping around when they're mauling you; but if you've got three or four of those crowded around you, sprinting through the first hole to higher ground and then turning around and ripping into them with your chain gun works pretty well. I'd still have to have mouse2 as jump when playing mp though. (since there you can have always run on there). I think I'm going to have to come up with a separate mpautoexec.cfg. -- The Brain From Planet Arous (1958): "Bad alien Gor takes over scientist Steve's brain; good alien Vol takes over Steve's dog's brain."
