Doom 3; Game Fade Black After A Couple of Minutes???

Hi I just had Doom 3. The game works for a couple of minutes and then
it suddenly fade black I don't see the gun anymore nothing except some
lights but it's not playable anymore because I can barely see
something.

My system spec;

MSI GeForce 4 Ti4400 - TD 128MB AGP 4X with Latest 61.77 Driver
Latest DirectX 9.0b
1 x 512MB DDR PC 2700 (333MHz)
Intel Pentium 4 2.4GHz C Hyperthreatning
Windows XP Pro


I don't think the rest is important.
