I'm running an ATI Radeon Pro with the 4.7 drivers, and just suddenly
started getting the banding last night, anywhere in the game where there
are deep shadows. It's very noticeable and incredibly distracting, and I
hadn't changed anything in my settings before it started.

I've now installed both 4.8 and the beta 4.9 to try and get rid of it, but
nothing works.

I did just find this thread
(http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33776310&highlight=banding)
discussing the same problem, and it seems that the people there are
getting it in the later levels, all of a sudden, just like us. In fact,
the levels I am on where I first noticed it are the same ones they are
referring to in the thread.

It must just be some weirdness in the game. I hope it goes away soon
since every time I notice it it draws me out of the experience. :(
