I could go on about the amusing, yet completely purile, arguments 'against' you've made, but I think we'd all agree that'd be far too easy. Point made simple: do you think id would spend 6 years or whatever making a game the way they DIDNT intend it to be? No, of course not. Their end product IS what they intended. Still want to whinge? Then you're an idiot. They didnt 'miss' any target. They hit it and blew the fucking thing up as far as logic goes. It isnt an updated DOOM? Yes..yes it is. Get glasses or an IQ at least a margin higher than room temperature. I'm not old enough to remember DOOM? Yes...yes I am. And besides, dont make statements that make YOU sound like a dickhead. Thats hardly the aim of an insult. Read up on it. 'Insults for dickheads' is good I hear. They wont make a milestone in gaming history? Yes...yes they will. In fact, they have - past tense. Putting it simpler - its a game in which you shoot things. Thats its core. If you go beyond that, it is no longer DOOM. Its merely an updated version of a past technology, in which it does NOT transgress from its base interactive fundamentals. In essence, I guess I can end this silly little discussion by simply saying - you're a dickhead. I think that just fits perfectly and is stated as eloquently as manners permit.
