Oh man thinking about reinstalling over a hundred gigs of games and
software made me cringe. So thought I "well, if I'm gonna have ta
reformat, trying a couple things won't hurt a bit!"
So, I installed DX9.0c .... and that cured the texture flashing in the
games that had it, including Doom3. But in Doom 3 I've had the picture
rolling problem since installing the NV Omegas...uninstall them, and
from safe mode, installed the NV 61.77 drivers. Oh, so THAT is what
Doom3 looks like! Gee, this is cool! <quickly resets controls config>
oh HELL yeah! WAY cool this!!!
Just turning on the fps from the console, it seems to average mid 60's
to low 70's, haven't run the timedemo yet.
In 1024x768-32, High settings, in advanced all on but no vsync and AA
set OFF.
Shit, looks a lot like Far Cry polybump don't it? Well, I bowed out,
smugly happy, so I could update ya and go round up some food :)
Will play this when I get back, now that I can see it! :o) And I did
NOT reformat yet, but will pretty soon....sheesh I'm dreading that.
McG.
