Finally you're correct, it's actually a P5 but Intel is too embarrassed to
call it that when their P4EE (emergency edition) runs faster.

You should read Anandtech more carefully.

Who cares what the Prescott is selling for, it was an unmitigated disaster
prompting Intel to abandon their numbering scheme that was tied to MHz and
go with the newer BMW type classification. Intel has no fewer than 4
versions of P4. Confusion anyone?

Your guy probably just wants them out of his inventory.

That is the most ridiculous statement I have ever heard. Athlon MB's are
deep within all retail channels. All the shops in my area have them
displayed and they are readily available on the net. Check www.newegg.com
They are a premier online retailer and their prices are just about the
lowest available and their service is unmatched by any other dealer. They
have plenty of AMD 64 boards. Much of your information seems dated by about
a year. Did you happen to read a magazine article around September of last
year and still think you know what's going on?

I'll give you a link that again. www.newegg.com

There are 40 boards available in socket 754, starting at 64.00. They could
be at your house tomorrow.

2 of the Socket 939 are in stock, starting at 119.85 and could be at your
house tomorrow.

Newegg prices on OEM CPU's

Athlon 64 bit 2800+ 148.00
Athlon 64 bit 3000+ 167.00
Athlon 64 bit 3200+ 208.00
Athlon 64 bit 3400+ 289.00
Athlon 64 FX53 819.00

What's all this noise about again???
