Sorry, I don't know what that problem is, unless you have a "Virtual
CD" drive, a useful tool which some CD burning software creates when
it's installed. 

But maybe using the no-cd version of doom3.exe will help. It's from
the 3 CD Reloaded release of Doom 3, and therefore should be ok, but,
obviously, use at your own risk and virus scan _any_ exe files you
download from the net.
