Dale and Inglo,

Sorry about not reading the entire thread. I poked around for a bit but
didn't see any conclusion.

Anyway, I just tried the new settings and the stutter due to opening a door
with an event on the other side has virtually disappeared.

I still get 15fps on demo1 but the playability of the game has improved. I'm
happy.
