I am a Christian, and love this game also. I am still amazed that
a Christian would be offended by a game in which you kill all
sorts of demons. Since there are so many upside down crosses
exhibited by the demons, it would seem to suggest the
validity of the Christ. You are fighting evil, demons,
upside down crosses-so the oppisite would suggest good=
cross, Christ.

Actually, id seems to always use an absoulute evil in its games.
Wolfenstien, nazis, 6 million jews executed.
DOOM, demons, trying to lead people away from Christ.

If id made a game where your character kills lots of
innocents, then I would be offended-in between playing it
often because id makes such dang cool games.

A lighter note, I saw on the Software Etc. future releases
board, DOOM 1-30. I talked to the guy, and he said he thought
it was the registered version with the latest version #.
That would seem to make sense, because they don't usually
play up the shareware small packs they have on the front
counter, like Wolfenstien 1 shareware for $4.95.

If it is the same one I bought, but a later version,
I wont be upset 'cause they said they will send us the latest
version. Also, I would rather give more money to id directly
and eliminate the middleman.
