t video card would speed up Doom performance? any? I have a 386/40,
a standard ISA bus, no local bus. I am thinking about possibly
upgrading motherboards to a 486, probably one of the DLC's or one of
the other cheaper 486 varieties out there. After playing on my 486/66 at
work I have gotten quite spoiled, now if I could sneak a sound card on
my work machine ;) Headphones perhaps! ;)

I have tried playing some of the demos people have uploaded from the
Reg version; however, everytime I try to play one of these I get scenes
from the shareware version only. Is it necessary to have the reg. version
installed to play reg demos? seems that way.

Joe.
