Well I think a major portion is the IBM Compatable world is sick of "This easy to 
use Machintosh, is far better than this clunky, expensive, pecked to death by ducks,
hard to use etc... IBM Compatable system" kind of garbage.  But lets face it, programming
on a mac suxs big time, which is why I have a IBM Clone.  Those expensive, non-sensical,
uni-buttoned (can't play Doom on one button) funny fruit boxs are fine for what they
do.  But simply put, Doom doesn't exist on the Mac.  Probably because there is no easy
way to do imitate the operating system Doom loads before running.  So atleast for now,
Mac owners can watch and wonder.  It would seem the closest attempt on Mac is horrible 
anyway.  Don't take it personally...
