No, they would have to pretty much rewrite their engine for this. They have 
assumed that all verticals are drawn to the screen as verticals, hence all
the bitmapping is made a great deal easyer.

To look down a corridor is easy, but if you tilted your head down you would
see the walls slant inward, ie go non-vertical. Now imagine the problems 
with rotating.

You cannot do this easily with the current engine otherwise they would have 
done it. The fact that they did not indicates that the benefits from the
optimisation possible from it are definitely worth it.

But if they DID rewrite the engine, what a game it would make!
