Indeed.  As an ex-DOS/Windows user who converted to NeXTSTEP a year ago,
it pains me to see the question "Whats a NeXTSTEP" posed in this or any
other news group.  The outstanding interface, ease of use, integration of
applications and productive development environment make NeXTSTEP  
something truly unique in the history (and forseeable future) of personal
computing.  NeXTSTEP is not only *better* than Windows, Windows/NT, and
the announced features of "someday" Windows versions like Chicago and
Cairo, it has features and advantages that Microsoft cannot even imagine.

You can't really explain it to a Windows user, it's got to be experienced.
Under NeXTSTEP, so many things are *so easy*.  When I go into my shop now
and watch my experienced technicians and programmers wrestle with user's
Windows problems, I'm continually amazed that a huge and wealthy company
like Microsoft has had so much success with such a poorly designed
product. NeXT has struggled for success since 1988, and their product  
(NeXTSTEP) is just so *beautiful*.
