As it should be done. For what they produce, this is all it takes. I
know several individuals who used to own their own high-end game production
company years ago for another computer platform... only takes a handfull of
good hackers willing to "do a little bit more" to see that the production is
state-of-the-art... throw in a programmer to grab the work from them at some
point and tell them, "it's done already, we've set out what we planned to do
and far more", tidying up the code for commercial output, and WA-LA!
: Find any secret doors or switches? ;)
Wouldn't that be a kick though? You're waiting at the front desk.
Suddenly a wall heaves forward, three executives in suits walk out, press a
switch on another section of the wall, and a section of the floor they're
standing on raises up to an opening panel in the ceiling. The wall settles
back... the floor returns... you stand there gaping for a while...
Now you know why I replied to this earlier msg and not one of the drolling
"how-much-can-they-legalling-get-away-with-charging-for-distribution-copies"
storyline. (Yes, I agree, 3.5" HD name-brand disks at most cost about $1.00
each. For a shareware release taking 3 disks, $5 will more than cover the
leeches' distribution costs! If someone charges more than $8-10, yeah, I'd
report 'em to ID/Apogee too!)
