The problem with doom is that the bit that moves is on a screen (with a
wall background) that does not move. So, when you're busy dooming up and
down, the screen and wall/room behind it is staying still. When you run
or walk in real life *everything* moves so you don't have a "still" point
of reference, like a screen to upset your mind.

A lot of people used to get "seasick" watching Wolf as well because the
picture moved yet the background didn't. However, most people got
"seasick" by *watching*, not playing.

Ways around it?
Well, here's a couple of suggestions:
	1. Make the screen window as large as you can while retaining
		some performance
	2. Darken the room so that you don't notice the background so
much. If you got real into it, you could put a big black
card/blanket to obscure all in your view except for the
viewing window. (This however may *cause* "seasickness"
in some people because the actual lack of motion -
		different horses for different courses.)

That in itself is not a big problem - having a chair with wheels is a
problem as I'm forever pushing the chair backwards or to the left or
right (or craning my neck to see round a "screen corner") Suffice to
say that it's not wise to stand directly behind my chair at fireball
time....
