HIRELINGS
- Rogue Hirelings can now use Amazon bows (imagine a Rogue merc wielding
a Windshear socketed with Gemstones and Magestones!)

ITEMS
- Two new suffixes have been added to Magic items:
             - "of Battle Orders" - adds 1-3 levels of Battle Orders,
usable by all classes
             - "of Warming" - adds 3-6 levels of Warmth, usable for all
classes
- Throwing Potions have been enhanced. They do higher damage, have
larger stacks (up to 60) and are now purchasable at vendors.
- All Javelins, Amazon Javelins, Throwing Knives and Throwing Axes now
stack up to 200

UNIQUE ITEMS
- Five new Unique Javelins have been added. They are as follows:

   The Jabber - javelin
   --------------------
   40-50% Enhanced Damage
   +1 Amazon Jab
   +1 Critical Skill (all classes)
   15% Increased Attack Speed
   +5-10 Cold Damage
   +2 Light Radius
   +2 Life Replenish
   +2 Mana Regeneration

   The Poker - pilum
   -----------------
   60% Enhanced Damage
   20% Increased Attack Speed
   Increased Stack Size
   +10-20	Fire Damage
   +1-20 Lightning Damage
   4-6% Life Stolen Per Hit
   1 Socket

   The Piercer - short spear
   -------------------------
   75% Enhanced Damage
   33% Piercing
   Replenish Quantity
+75 Poison Damage over 3 Seconds
   7-9% Mana Stolen Per Hit
   +2 Amazon Plague Javelin
   +3 Amazon Lightning Bolt

   The Striker - glaive
   --------------------
   80-100%	Enhanced Damage
   +2 Amazon Charged Strike
   +2 Critical Strike (all classes)
   +35-60	Lightning Damage
   +7-9% Life Stolen Per Hit
   2 Sockets

The Pointed One - throwing spear
   --------------------------------
   125-150%	Enhanced Damage
   +3 Amazon Fend
   +2 Amazon Lightning Fury
   +3 Amazon Plague Javelin
   +4 Amazon Jab
   Replenish Quantity
   Increase Stack Size
   25% Increased Attack Speed
   3 Sockets

CUBE
- New Cube recipes have been added
             - 2 magic rings + 1 rare ring + Io rune -> magic ring of
Battle Orders (may also have a random prefix)
             - 2 magic rings + 1 rare ring + Lum rune -> magic ring of
Warming (may also have a random prefix)

-Rune Recipes
             - item + 2 perfect gems + 2 of the same Rune -> Rune effect
added to item
This works with weapons, all kinds of armour,
rings and amulets. Rune attributes added are appropriate for the item
type. For example: Skystrike + 2 pGems + 2 Shael runes -> Skystrike +
40% IAS.
NOTE: These recipes now only work ONCE per item.

Runes can now be downgraded with the following recipe:
	- 1 Rune + 1 rare ring -> next rune down
			EG., 1 Thul rune + 1 rare ring -> 1 Ort rune

MONSTERS
- Monsters have been reshuffled slightly in act 5 and in the Durance of Hate
- Packs of Flying Scimitars now spawn in some areas of act 2
- Boss packs of crow nests should now spawn in act 1 and act 2
- Coldcrow in Nightmare now has a chance to drop M'avina's Caster bow

BUGFIXES
- Barbarian Hireling names have been properly adjusted to match those in
Gemstone II
- Guest monster boss packs no longer spawn in Normal Bloody Foothills

RUNEWORDS
- Possible new runeword: "Lucky Bastard" (Zod-Vex-Jah-Ohm) for 4-socket
weapons

- A new runeword has been added for Necromancer Heads:

   Imperious Leader - Lem-Dol-Lem
   ------------------------------
   +1-2 Necromancer Skills
+3 Necromancer Poison & Bone Skills
   +2 Battle Orders (all classes)
   +30-45%	Faster Cast Rate
+375 Poison Damage over 5 Seconds
   -30-45%	Enemy Poison Resist
   Cannot Be Frozen
   +200% Gold Find
   +14 Replenish Life

SKILLS
- Necromancer Revives: now no longer have a fixed duration. They live
until killed like Skeletons, Golems, Valkyries and so forth
- Magic Arrow: attack rating bonus and magic damage improved
- Guided Arrow: can Pierce again

MISC
- Experience gain rebalanced; the diminishing returns curve after level
70 is now less steep. Until level 80 or so the decrease is negligible.

That would be awesome if vodoo handbags could have three sockets. AFAIK
they're all limited to two. :-/

Or is GS changed in this regard?

I realised that and changed it. ;) Also changed some of the mods and
made it higher-level after discussing it with Shiflet. There'll also be
a lower level RW for heads that'll give poison necros a boost, I think.

That'd be good. Perhaps keep it as P&B, give two variants a boost?

Thanks again.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking :)
I've also added a new unique low-level head and two runewords for wands :)

And six javelins ;)

Hehee! I can see myself playing this game well into my dotage, (long after
battlenet is replaced by skynet,) if you continue developing GS the way that
you are. :-)

*bows* I try ;)

As for Skynet, wasn't that already supposed to become self-aware in
like... 1997? LOL

Hehee! I'm not sure. It's my opinion that the best thing to come of that
whole franchise was the programme "Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles"
[Phwoaaaar! Summer Glau!] and that seemed to be set in (approximately)
contemporary times.

Never seen the show, but IIRC the second movie established the year 1997
as when Skynet became self-aware and tried to destroy the human race. LOL!

Maybe it should have been August 24, 1995... the day Windows 95 was
released. ;)

PS. I'm nearly ready to release Gemstone v1.1, I think. Adding a new MF
runeword for hats, and then I'll be testing the biatch to destruction
and back. ;)

Heh! I enjoyed the series more than the movies but then I find that most
movies don't really have time for things like character development.

*grins*

Added another new feature, too: Necro heads, Pally shields and torso
armour can now have more sockets ;)

You can now make Ancient's Pledge in a necro head ;)

Yep, and also the reason why a lot of previously movie-only actors are going
to the small screen.

Very nice! Again my friend, thanks for all of the work that you're putting
into ressurecting Gemstone, picking up the torch that Stephen Gorrell first
lit and carrying it further than I'm sure he dreamed it would go.
