All I know is that you put 1 gold piece in the lower left corner, drop an item, move away from it, pick up the item when the Inventory screen is up while pressing the 1gold piece at the same time. What am I doing wrong cause it doesn't dupe? Email me or post the message

I've never gotten this to work either, but I've witnessed people crank out kings swords at will. If anyone knows the secret, let me know! Who ever told you that in order to dupe, you had to use a piece of gold is BSing. That is not true! You have to use something else but that will remain a secret. It is easy once you get it. It's very simple. First drop the item you want to dupe on the floor. Then walk away from it. Make sure your inventory is closed at this point or it will not work. Now click on the item to dupe. Your character will walk towards it to pick it up. While he is walking open your inventory. Click on something just as you pick up the item. Time it right and keep trying. Anything will work but I recommend you use 1 gold coin. They don't have to be the same size just make sure you have enough room in your inventory to hold the item you're trying to pick up. Also, don't drop them both on the floor or 1 will disappear. Ok..,
First, make a portal in an open room
Second drop the item you want next to the portal...(make sure it is
RIGHT next to it)
Third, get directly in front of the portal, like 10 steps from it
Fourth, click on the item (make sure your inventory is closed) then he
sould walk through the portal and you should have the item when you go
into town.
Fifth go back down and get the original copy of the item
Here is a ascii drawing for it
PORTAL
/----\

| |
| | *** item
$^$
$^$
$^$ You
I'm nopt sure if this technique works with the patch now. Try it and
see.
