I've played thru normal and nightmare difficulty a bunch, and have pretty good stats and stuff. However, I'd like to see what kind of REALLY good stuff that you can (supposedly) get from hell/hell. The few times I've ventured in, I got beat pretty hard, though. What does a warrior need (as far as AC/stuff/ etc) to make it thru hel//hell alive? I'm at 512 life and AC 215, with a King's sword of giants, and armor with fast hit recovery, and those dudes rippedme up like the Skeleton Kind did when I was level 9... Advice welcome.

Note that since these ideas come from various sources, they won't always work well if you try to combine them. 1. Avoid the standard warrior tactic of simply wading in and hacking away. Whenever possible, use look into a room or around a corner, then retreat. Try to get the monsters to follow you so you only have to take on a handful at a time, not a room full. Keep moving as much as is reasonably possible. By doing so, you will reduce the number of ranged attacks that actually hit you. 2. Maximize your resistances even if you have to decrease your armor a few classes. The toughest part for a warrior is the ranged attackers, not the foot soldiers. You can take them as long as you don't let yourself get surrounded too often. The shooters are more difficult because you they hit you from a distance and also run away when you go after them. 3. Have a line of escape planned at all times and perhaps even have a portal open and waiting close by where you can use it as an escape hatch if necessary. 4. Use golem to do as much of the fighting as possible. Let the golem walk ahead of you to act as a scout. 5 Use a bow to pick off the ranged attack monsters which instead of trying to chase them all down one at a time.. 6. When it comes to the shooters, instead of always simply hacking away at the nearest monster, concentrate on one at a time. Kill it first before trying to attack other monsters. The reason for this is that a wounded monster will continue to shoot at you and damage you while a dead one is well, dead. 7. Have a plan. Different people suggest different things. Some say take out the foot soldiers first, then the shooters. Others swear by the opposite order. 8. If you don't plan to cast magic, consider using mana shield so that you have more total hit points. 9. Pray for divine intervention. Ha ha, just kidding! I hope the above will help or at least giv you something to think about. Happy hunting! Richard Aihoshi Jonric et al on BNet
