move from NT to W95 - how can I?

Ok, I know this may sound like I want to dupe stuff but that is not the case. A friend has bought a new system to play games on (more portable) and is running NT on it. He was playing on his other system under W95 and wants to move his old chars over. Any idea on how to move them over? If we want to move the items that is easy enough, but he wants he chars. Thanx for any ideas....

Go to http://www.users.lith.com/~kevin/diablo and download DiabloBackup. It
will facilitate the transfer. NB: this program will only backup multiplayer
character files and facilitate machine transfers, but it is very good at it.

You'd have to use something like Diablo Trianer, but the only prob is that it won't work under the patch... Which really stinks
