Is there a way to take a saved player from my home PC on a diskette (or two, etc.) to school so that I could use the same player there against my NON-Internet pals? All I want to do is take my player that I have been playing with and building up with me when I go to someones house to play them, without my PC. I take my CD with, but that's no good - obviously! I tried taking the saved games, but that was no good, obviously. Does anyone know how to take your character with you? CMR

It's simple for non multi-player characters, but that's not what you want is it? > All I want to do is take my player that I have been playing with and > building up with me when I go to someones house to play them, without my > PC. Could you zip the entire Diablo directory and install it on your friends computer? Ray

Maybe by using a cheat program. Dump your char to a file and then reload it with the cheat program. Though i don't know the details, which some1 else can explain.

That would not bring your character. It is a hidden file in your Windows directory. There are some programs that backup your characters. I'm sure you could do it with one of those. Visit some of the Diablo Web Pages that people advertise here! -Marcus Trisdale Ray & Tamara <ma...@cynergy.com.au> wrote in article <01bc283f$b52e6aa0$LocalHost@ray-tamara>... > Kelly and Chris <str...@nbnet.nb.ca> wrote in article > <01bc2771$bbcd1a60$LocalHost@strykerpc>... > > Is there a way to take a saved player from my home PC on a diskette (or > > two, etc.) to school so that I could use the same player there against my > > NON-Internet pals? > > It's simple for non multi-player characters, but that's not what you want > is it? > > > All I want to do is take my player that I have been playing with and > > building up with me when I go to someones house to play them, without my > > PC.
