Pardon me if this question has been asked before. Does the life stealing capability of the Undead Crown work if I am using a bow? It did not seem to. Do you have to be using a hand-to-hand weapon? Hmmm, reminds me of the 'Constricting Ring' I once found and used. It would
give me +75% resistance to all. It would simultaneously subtract life from
you at a seemingly constant rate... sometimes.
I could never figure out when it would steal and when it would not. Well, it
would never do it in town. If it did do it, it would as soon as you wore it
on a level of the dungeon. If you started in town and then went in to play,
it could activate the life stealing feature.
Eventually, the advantage of getting 15k gold from Griswold and proved more
interesting than the novelty of the unique jewelry.
Be seeing you,
Ron Courtright

hehe, my rogue still carries a WizardSpike dagger, it's pretty useless
as a rogue, but it's fun little dagger to use when helping newbies :)

Well that is something I would like to try sometime. However as far as the constricting ring goes, you don't lose hitpoints in town. However you lose 1 hitpoint a second down in the dungeons. And truthfully as a Mage with manashield on with over 900 in mana I have no problem using the constricting the ring, I mean it would take several minutes to kill me and it actually helps alot more than it hurts down in nightmare or better yet, hell skill in hell. It really is more of a Mage's ring so I have found so far.
