BONE SPIRIT SPELL

I just came across a book of BONE SPIRIT. It must be one of the rarer ones
because I've never even heard of it before. What does it do? It comes out
as a RED icon instead of a blue one in my spell book, and just looks
"different" somehow from the others.

The red spells, Bone spirit and Blood spirit, (blood star?) are Blood
magic speels and are not affected by resistances to normal magic,
fire or electricity. Thedo damage based the hp of either you or your
target. I heard they cost hp to cast as well but don't know if thats
true.

Bone Spirit takes 1/3 of hp from anyone/thing it hits.

It will reduce your opponents hit points by 1/3 every time it strikes. It
will also reduce Mana by 1. Take the good with the bad.

Be seeing you,

I found them often enough at Adria the witch. Bone spirit reduces
target's hitpoint by a third. I believe that it can be repeatedly
casted on a single monster, but as you know, you can take out a
third forever without killing the monster. So, you can't kill monsters
with bone spirit, just weaken them.

According to the Diablo strategy guide by Prima (a good buy by the
way), Blood Spirit reduces a creatures HP by 1/3 or its current HP.
Blood Star reduces targets HP by 1/3 of the casters current magic
level (quite nasty if youre a high level mage). It claims that both
cost some of your HP too, but in my experience by the time you have
these spells, you have so many HP or MP (with a mana shield spell)
that the loss of a few HP doesnt make much diffrence.

No, Blood Star is definitely "magic" based and will not affect creatures
immune to magic (like most skeletons, for example)
