Having Fun On Battle.Net

Hello all.

As we all know , it has become difficult to impossible to play a fun
and/or honest game of Diablo on Battle.net that is open to anyone.
Chances are a Tkiller , or Pkiller , DropKiller , InstantKiller,
monsterkiller or lord only knows what is next , will drop by and
disrupt the game.

While we all wait to see if some patch from Blizzard will curtail this
problem, here is an idea on how to still have some fun on Battle.net.
The point is that these cheaters / hackers etc can be made to be their
own worst enemy. Stay with me on this for a second....

Common Scenario ....

You are in Diablo Retail xx and in the middle of a conversation
Lord_eatme drops by to tell everybody that they suck and he/she will
kill you all. Here is what to do ....

Immediately go to 'join' to check out the current game list. Look for
one that is an obvious Tkiller , you know the ones I mean ...

Game : USUCK
Creator :BiteMeNow lvl50

Now, go back to the room and tell Lord_eatme "Oh yeah , try and kill
ME man. (try not to interject any intelligence into your comments or
you may lose them). When you get the patented response of "Well then
fight me dude , you will be toast" ....

..... agree to the encounter and direct them to the USUCK room you
have already checked out. Exit the room for a second and create your
own game with a password so that if he/she does a /whois you will come
up as being in a game. With luck Lord_eatme will dive into the
Tkiller's game an materialize to a barrage of fireballs. Chances are
that they will be too dumb to see who actually created the game.

At this point Lord_eatme will have a new vendetta to avenge and the
Tkillers can go happily about the business of frying each other. You
can return to the chat room and it should now be free of this waste of
good ASCII characters.

Don't be too hard on these guys. Remember that 99% of them are
adolescent boys who think that all women have a staple in their navel
and consider "Fuck You All" to be a greeting.

I would love to hear about other potential scenarios to taunt , hinder
and generally annoy cheaters , pk, tk and the like. The key being mind
over bluster. You see intelligence is the achilles's heel. The more
time they waste killing each other , the more innocent people that
will be left alone. I don't consider hacking my own characters 'for
defense' to be a viable option. Besides, that is futile since there
will always be someone with a better hack.

Who said Battle.net isn't fun anymore. By the way, I have met many
nice, honest people on Battle.net who were interesting and fun to play
with. With a little care , passworded games etc , you can still play
and have fun ...

later ...

Wat i do (and unfortunately this requires u to cheat yourself) when
pkilled or tkilled is quickly save an image of the offending players
character, restore his char onto a dummy char that i create, then go and
give his godly this and obsid that to the first newbies i find. When i get
back to chat i make sure to /msg the killer and let him know the joy that
he has just spread in the world.
By the way, make sure u tell the recepients of your largesse not to trust
the character who's giving them the stuff.

Just a quick note of clarificatrion. While you are certainly free to
do what you like with your game. I personally do not give high level
items to newbies. I feel tha it ruins the game for them.

I have several mess-around characters thst I use to play with and
annoy the killer types. BUT , I have a character that I actually play
the game with that is 100% legal and I am a strong proponent of legal
play.

This character will not even trade or accept items from players. A
fact I have been tkilled for. The only items I will accept are those
found on the current quest with the players in the game. The character
has also never been backed up nor will it be. While I will mess about
with people who are killing and ruining the game for others, I would
never let my actions do the same if I can help it.

go play on Mplayer.

Cheating is harder since the diablo mplayer enable writes itself to
diablo.exe and it requires a clean diablo.exe.
Microsuck must pay the auther $1,000,000,000.00 in us currency
