BTW, I mean "crank" in the internet sense of somebody who publishes untenable and inconsistent arguments in newsgroups, not "crank" in the sense that it is used in internal combustion engines and others. So don't bother pulling me aside and explaining that a crank is part of an engine, so my usage is wrong.
