This just started happening to me last night.  I have a level 24 mag.  I
have 32 meg ram and a 8X cd on a pentium 75.  I noticed delays of about 10
seconds of so when I went to level 5 or on level 4 in nightmare.  I have
everything else turned off even turned off ms office tool bar.  I am
playing multiplayer with the modem, but the modem is turned off.  I haven't
had any pauses until now on nightmare 5 & 4. 

I will be looking on diablo's www and the manual.
