I have a 38 level mage:

f5 - appocalypse staff (for total emergencies)
f6 - fireball
f7 - chain lightning
f8 - teleport

when i play with a strong warrior, i sometimes take out chain lightning
(too easy to kill another player) and replace with stone curse or heal
other.
