The USA did not provide any material support to Iraq during the Iran Iraq 
war, and never supported Saddam. They didn't even recognise him as the 
leader of Iraq or his regime as the legitimate government of Iraq (unlike 
almost every other country).

Funnily enough, Israel did support Iran militarily during the war. They 
bombed Iraq's nuclear reactor (eliminating the possibility of Iraq using 
nuclear materials against Iran), and with US support provided Iran with a 
very large number of anti-tank weapons for use against Iraq. Israel supplied 
nothing to Iraq whatsoever in this period.

Still, you had no idea who Ayotollah Khomeni was, and thus are ignorant of 
the basics of Middle Eastern history and politics. It would be a good idea 
if you learned a little more about the subject before posting.
