Hello all, Chucky checking back in after a long absence.

So, I got a new computer recently and re-loaded all my lovely and
ancient games, including Diablo 2 (Lord of Destruction expansion, 1.10
patch and Chaos Empire mod).

Now, I have Windows 7 on my new machine, and was informed that there
was a compatibility problem with the Lord of Destruction installation.
My machine politely informed me that Blizzard probably had some sort
of update to deal with the incompatibility, which led me to wonder:

1) Are there new patches out beyond 1.10 to deal with Windows 7 and
other issues, and where could I find them?

2) Chaos Empire mod no longer installs properly, even with the 1.10
patch, and it is probably to do with this same incompatibility. Is
there a new Chaos Empire mod for Windows 7 OS, and where might I find
that?

At the moment the game seems to work, but I do so enjoy the tweaks of
Chaos Empire (I don't know if I can survive with such a small stash).
I managed to transfer all my saved characters, and Hamster II at least
is still active in the normal game but there are many that I can only
play with the CE mod.

So if any of you can answer my questions, that would be grand.

Looking forward to Diablo 3 too, it was a large factor in my chosen
specs for the new computer I got, so I hope it runs nicely. In the
meantime my interest in Diablo 2 is re-awakened, and maybe in a while
I will add some more chapters to the Ballad of the Hamster that I
posted here lo these many years ago.

Maybe I should repost the earlier chapters as a recap...
