I don't know how long ago you tried it, or how far you got, but
they've basically made it much simpler, through the first 70 levels.
Only the last 10 levels are like it used to be, since they've
massively increased the leveling speed (up to 70) and eliminated most
of the Elite mobs (at least in Azurewrath, where you spend the first
58-60 levels). Realistically, within a month of semi-dedicated
playing, you should be able to have a toon to at *least* 70, if not
80.
