Simple. Quake supports multiple TYPES of connection ( ipx, modem,
serial cable, tcp/ip ) at any given moment. Its the only recent game
I know of that's able to due this. Diablo, as far as I know, only
does one at a time. Is it possible to do a Win95 IPX connection
through a modem? Never tried something like that since I'm the type
of person that'll lug his computer around to friends' houses for ipx
or serial play. Network cards are cheap ;) $20
