.Yes, both Godly sheilds and helms exist.  Wirt offers me on a fairly

.But I gotta tell, you, I recently bought an Obsidian (tower) shield
.from Gris  (AC 18) and it is tough to beat.  Gives me much more

  I used an Obsidian Gothic shield for a long time with my fighter and it was 
great for increasing resistances.  Just the other day, we were clearing out 
hell(normal) and found a (gothic) Emerald Shield of the Tiger.  It's one 
serious piece of hardware: Resist all +43%, +50 hp.  My warrior doesn't much 
care if he's hit by spells in normal games anymore. :)
