Let me guess!  Your mouse runs on the Intellipoint Drivers from Microsoft!

If you were to check the settings for the Intellipoint drivers, you'll see
that the settings for **Show location of pointer when you press the CTRL
key** is ticked.  When this setting is on, pressing the CTRL key will cause
Win95 to *Home-in* on the mouse with a series of concentric circles.
