Just a thought. Same happened to me.. I was playing a warrior, and accepted too many gifts from other players that I got my second dot (fighting solo) at level 22. Started anew with a sorceror, and he's level 34 now and still enjoying nightmare hell (still looking for zodiac stuff, though! Best I've found is an amulet of the heavens +15 to all, and I prefer my amber amulet of wizardry to that most of the time.) Also played with a warrior for a while.. he's level 30 now, can go through normal/hell, nightmare/caves or hell/catacombs without much trouble, but still looking for the great items. (saintly plate of giants is what I have.. still looking for godly plate of heavens or whale =) ) I still have a lot of mileage left in the game too.. started a single-player game with a warrior and played about 10 levels of that, enjoying the different quests and stuff, and I'll play that character through to Diablo eventually. Also plan to start a multiplayer rogue next week (will be home from college, plan to play serial and modem with other friends.) Moral of the story: earn the stuff yourself.. a lot more enjoyment that way.
