DirectX, games, and Matrox Millenium

Ok, here's a question for you all... All being whoever _does_ read this. I
have a Matrox Millenium 2MB PCI video card. I have installed every single
update you can get from both Matrox and Microsoft. I am still experiencing
many many crashes. My machine crashes with almost every game I have. The
list includes Mechwarrior (Mercenaries), Diablo, and a few others I don't
feel like mentioning. Bottom line is, my machine crashes a LOT.

This brings me to that question I had.. Is anyone else having similar
problems? The machine I am using is a Pentium 90 with 32 megs RAM, a 4x
CDrom, and the above listed video card. The motherboard (for what its worth
to mention) is an Intel Triton. Also installed is a Sounblaster AWE32, and
a 33.6k baud internal modem. All of the above items are the genuine
article, not clones. The machine on the other hand, is not a brand name, it
was put together a couple years back by an independent computer store.
Aside from countless game problems, mostly related to directx, I have had
no problems with the computer.

If anyone that can shed some light on possible problems or suggestions to
ease my madness, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
