Wrong.. Enigmas page leads to another guys page, Kevin.
He has a program that still works to backup and restore your char,
in win95 or nt 4.0. It can back up and restore, or it can transfer the
char from say win95 to nt 4.0, or to the same OS on diff computers.
I got it because I am in nt 4.0 and nothing else worked. I was in
a game once, died and it ended before I got down to retrieve my gear.
That only happened once but I back up after every game now. I did
indeed try backing up and restoring with a char AFTER patching.
As kevin says in the notes, almost all of his Programs stuff still
works, since all it does is restore and back up those _.drv char files.
No cheat will work now that alters the temp memory, as Enigmas did.

It can even restore the char fine from just those files. I transferred
my char to win 95 just to see if it worked, and indeed it did.
You have to use this only after the Diablo is off, it does not work
while playing- and all it does is backup and restore.
