Well, maybe, but I think you missed the entire point of his post. I
don't think he was digging younger players so much as anyone who
thinks cracking a game makes them some kind of super programming god.

I have a bit of a different viewpoint. I think the guys that write
these cracks are pretty tallented, but I also think they are on a bit
of an ego trip. They aren't releasing these cheates to better
gameplay on Battlenet (that's obvious, these cheates have all but
ruined it), they are doing it just to show off and prove that they
can. The only exception I can see to this is the townkill cheat, and
the only reason I say that is that the cheat was released after people
were already doing it, so making it available to everybody just helped
re-establish the balance of power a bit.

The one I'm most annoyed with is this Enigma character. Here's a guy
that is obviously a tallented programmer (I think he even develops
games himself?), and how does he use his tallent? Creating a cheat
program that not only spoils the fun for thousands of people, but
seriously devalues another company's product (I'm kind of suprised
that Blizzard hasn't sued him). There was no reason to release this
program other than to show everybody what a hot-shot programmer he is.
Well in my opinion, all he managed to do is to prove to everyone what
an irresponsible, inconsiderate, bastard he is. I doubt Enigma will
ever see this post, but if you do, here's a parting comment: Just
because you can doesn't mean you should.
